Red Kidney Bean and Quinoa Veggie Burger

  • 1 1/2 cup cooked quinoa
  • 2 14 oz cans of Red Kidney Beans
  • 1 1/2 cups of rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup of pasta sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp granulated garlic
  • 2 tbsp horse raddish
  • 1 tbsp dijon mustard
  • Cook quinoa according to package directions, omitting salt, about 14 min. Transfer to a large bowl. Ideally pre-prepare the quinoa a day early if possible.
  • Firmly press  mixture into a 1/2-cup measuring cup. Turn and release on to a large sheet of waxed paper. Gently press to shape into a patty about 4 in. wide. Store the burgers until ready to cook. They freeze beautifully
  • When ready to cook either heat and sear the burgers in a lightly oiled pan or cook as usual on your barbcue.
